New to Infiniti

This July I purchased a 2004 G35 coupe. It's beautiful and i love it. It had about 69k miles on it. When I took it into the local dealership they gave me a list of things that i should get taken care of including new tires (ive gotten those already), my 60k service, new brake pads, rotors and get my calipers cleaned, 3rd brake light assembly, and a new clutch/flywheel.

After going over prices I realized that they are trying to rape me. They said the 60k service is going to be around $1100, and the brakes should be over $1200, and that if i brought in my own clutch/flywheel it would cost about $900 in labor.

Is that correct?! does anyone know where i can find cheaper parts? i know a mechanic that can do it all for way less.

I also want to know how these brembo brakes work. Do i need brembo parts? what other brands can i look into for rotors and pads?

Thanks!!!

I have Stoptech(slotted) one piece hat and rotors, Hawk Performance street pads and Goodridge lines. The stoptech rotors were decently cheap, and so were the pads.

I have Centric rotors and pads on my Brembos.
they are fine as well.

but yes that is about right on the brake and clutch work.

I paid 1200 for all 4 rotors and pads and the labor.

Well you may want to post it here.. alot of the guys can tell you if they are garbage or not.

personally when it comes to brakes I don't trust just any brand.
