Agreed. Cheap copies don't work as the originals. ICHIBA arms are not cheap copies, they are the same Cusco arm entirely. Same part, different name. The Godspeed arm is an example of a cheap copy of the ICHIBA/Cusco arm. It has the same look but VERY different craftsmanship if you look closely. You are definitely right about preference. Whatever a person is willing to settle for will determine your definition of cheap and quality in the end.

As far as performance of a part goes I personally wouldn't rely solely on a name brand. I agree that a name brand part will almost always do whats it advertised to do, but the performance level and specs of that part is up to you to research and figure out. Thats what I'm trying to get some input on here. I know what parts are available and how they are supposed to perform according to the manufacturer. But I'm looking for some people with experience and knowledge who are currently using them on their G's. So what's on your car?

An SPC user I see. What's your 2 cents? Did you do the install yourself? If so how was it?

 

I had a shop put them on. One thing I've found, the shims can't be used in conjunction with a BBK. Other then that, no issues and camber/toe are within spec.

The garage feature is a good way to find out what parts people have, if updated.

Ichiba uses lower grade bushings.

Which is why they are cheaper.

look up reviews on Ichiba from various forums and even someone who has posted in here. The bushings wear prematurely.

Look, if you want to save a few bucks now, go for it. But you'll wind up spending more in the future.

 

So I have decided to go with an SPC kit. I have a full set of arms front and rear on the way. I'm planning on doing a write up on the install. I'll keep everyone posted on how the install goes, and how my final alignment turns out.

I have installed and aligned multiple G/Z's with all the camber kits mentioned in this thread.

Ichiba- don't waste your time or money. Even at full positive you only get .5 degree over te stock arms. Plus the bushings go out easily.

SPC- do NOT use the spacers, they cause tons of problems. At your height the shouldn't knock and will give you a real positive adjustment of .75-1.0 degree over the stock arms.

SPL V3 - by far the best camber arms in terms of build quality and functionality. No knocking and real adjustment of 1.0 degree over stock arms.

If you don't plan to lower the car anymore than where it sits now, go with SPC and don't install the shims.

If do plan on going lower in the future, fork over the money for SPL V3's.

 

Yes I assume it will be like that exactly. Where did you get your alignment done at after the install? I'm worried most about finding a good alignment guy who will make these parts do what they are intended to.
