i have bats on OB but think that they would look pretty clean on a silver car. They area little bit of a pain to install just because you have to stretch them when installing so they line up. im happy with the quality and look of them. install them and if you dont like them you can always take them off. i have had several IL state police behind me while driving and never got pulled over. I believe that you shoulb be fine bc you are not blocking the light coming from the tails with overlays.

If I remember correctly, it is illegal to block brake light and red reflectors

also just FYI... if the tint is light enough to see the cars break likes from "200-300 meters?" i forget the distance regardless if the whole taillight is tinted is legal... they would prob still give u **** for it but its easily dismissible in court

Yea they're legal and they actually make the leds stand out even more than oem since there's no red lens next to the leds

I would like to point out that while I see no reason for them to be illegal as they do not block any light or reflectors I was pulled over twice for them on my car and given warnings. I tried to argue that they don't block anything so how are they illegal? The cop simply replied with the statute here in florida that it is illegal to modify the factory lights in any form. They must have changed the law here because it used to be the 300 ft rule. Now they have something that says any modification is illegal.

The second cop that pulled me over for it said my headlights were illegal as well because they were tinted. I had to explain to him three times that they are not tinted, the plastic inner housing is black. He claimed they were illegal because they had been modified. He didn't give tickets for either. I was tired of the taillight thing so I took the overlays off them but I am not changing my headlights back. I will argue that in court if needed.

Exactly. And I was just getting sick of giving them an excuse to pull me over and hassle me. Once they realize I'm not some disrespectful punk kid they let me go but its just a hassle.
