Acceleration is too slow (8 sec 0-60 mph)! why?
I have 0-60 mph for only 8 seconds using tiptronic & 8,3 seconds using "D" (Infniniti declares 5,9 seconds for 0-60 mph acceleration)
Car: Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe 5AT 2003 (Leather Type) 51000 miles ODO.
I`ve bought the car this June. Had the full diagnostics after the purchase at Nissan/Infinity centre. Have done everything recommended - full service, replaced all filters, oil, new brakes, sparkling plugs, checked & serviced engine.
At the service centre the car technical condition was estimated as "perfect".
I have ther new tires installed: Michelin Pilot Sport 2 - front 225/45/R18, rear 245/45/R18.
Nevertheless the acceleration speed is very bad - 8 sec for 0-60 mph & 34 (!!!) sec for 0 -130 mph.
VCD Off, Climate Control Off.
Here is the video
I have the feeling that my engine has less hp than 283, but I don`t know why & what is the reason of it. If anyone can help - give me advise what can be the reason & share your real 0-60 mph results to compare.

I used stop-watch timer in my cellphone))) However anyone can use any kind of time-measuring equipment while wathing the video.
I know it`s imprecisely, I know I should take into account weather, outside temperature, wind etc.
Anyway the difference between 5,9 sec & 8,2 sec (0-60 mph) is too much. I know in the mean this time is 6,5 - 7 seconds at this type (RWD Coupe 5AT) of the car, but not that 8 seconds I have on my vehicle. By the way, what is your time?
And the difference between 27 seconds for 0 to 130 mph (according to tests) & 34 (!!!) seconds at my car is enormous.

lol at complaining that the car is too slow while timing with a cellphone.
I don't mean to be a dick but it's comical, my best advice would be to take the car to the track and see if the trap speed is what it should be or just get it dynoed.
Also how are you launching the car, are you power braking or just launching off idle?

2. I`ve launched off just kicking down gas pedal simply from 0 rpm without power braking.
here is another short video 0 to 60 mph.
