Help a newb out :)

Hello everyone, i have a little question about my 04 coupe, there is this pipe that goes to the radiator and it keeps getting like "sucked in". When I open the radiator cap, it goes back to being normal size. You can see the pics to hopefully get what I am trying to explain. The coolant level is actually a little above the "Max" mark, and the car does not over heat. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

I believe The hose should have a spring inside of it to keep it from colapsing. The spring is just slightly smaller in diameter than the hoses inside diameter.

when the engine gets hot the coolant expands and the radiator cap lets it flow out a little bit into the reservoir. when it cools down again the cap lets the radiator suck back in coolant from the reservoir. thats why some cars instead on min. and max. say cold and hot. your radiator cap isn't letting the radiator suck coolant back in from the reservoir so when it cools down its shrinking he hoses because of a slighht vacuum effect in there. also why there is extra coolant in your reservoir. get a new radiator cap and top up the coolant inside the rad maybe drain a slight bit out of the reservoir to put it back to the right level and you should be good as new.
