also i was searching about if i might run lean or not because idk how soon i will get it tuned after i get set on my mods and someone was talking about their car being at 14 afr instead of 15 with similar mods.. if i do run a little bit lean will it cause any harm to the engine besides loss of power.. or will i even run lean at all ?

osiris is uprev...

if you are done modding...i would just take it to a local tuner and have them tune/flash your car...

Really? Getting mine done next week, and he said $1100 which includes retuning...

I wouldn't spend the $$ on a tune until you've finished modding or in my case because of having an exhaust and hfcs I'm throwing a error code that lets me know I'm running lean. I'm counting on Osirus and the dyno to correct my lean condition which is should.

I opened another thread when I installed my SC asking whether that was too much - and somebody said it could cost that much - but I should try and negotiate...

Hillgarage in Bmore comes highly recommended from his reviews...

yeah il prob do the tune after its all said and done.

so if my car is running lean it will throw a code before anything bad can happen?

We have two guys in my club that are tuned N/A motors. Both of them with the supporting mods have almost identical 275-276whp and 260-263wtq on a dynopak. Tuning was about $600 including the purchase of the license for the UpRev software.

That is more reasonable numbers for n/a motors. Good luck!

There are a few threads on building a n/a motor. intake, mrev2, exhaust (including HFCs) and a tune. but both of them have a revup motor as well. so they gained about 50whp total on our dynos.

Thanks for this thread. I already bought new plugs and will get that done asap. I also called a local licensed Uprev tuner and will get tuned in a couple of weeks. Software license and tuning will cost me right at $650. can hardly wait.

........pretty much! Some intakes are better than others, Stillens CAI/Z-Tube is one of the best for our Infinitis with their giant K&N filter and composit construction which doesn't suffer from heat soak like metal intakes. You need to decide if you want what works best or what looks way cool. I have both and trade off.
