About to purchase a 06 and I have some questions........
First off, this car will be my first car. I know how to use the search function, but this situation is specific to me, so I started a new thread.
I have decided to purchase THIS CAR
Now the thing is, I'm getting it for $2,800. Yes, $2,800. TROLOLOLOL (couldn't help myself)
The reason it's so low is because the owner is going through a divorce. I guess he doesn't want the old lady to get any money from it.
When the car arrives, I will have 5 days to inspect the car, and will be fully refunded if I don't want it. I was planning on taking it to an Infiniti dealership near here to have it checked out. Is this a good idea? Would they be able to find any and all problems that there might be? It's mileage is kinda high (81,000 Mi) but it isn't too bad compared to some other cars I was looking at (69/70 mustangs).
I know I haven't even seen the car yet, but it was arranged through eBay motors and I'm awaiting a message from them on how to proceed with the payment.
SO to clarify I have not seen the car, I have not paid a dime yet, I have 5 days with the car, and will be fully refunded if I don't want it.
So what do you guys think?

I'm now 90% sure he is a scammer, so I emailed ebay motors to investigate.
So I thought it's now time to have fun with this jerk. Here is an email I've concocted to mess with him, I won't send until I get confirmation that he is a scammer. All of the information about myself is an outright fabrication
"Hello Matt.
I would like to know if there would be a possibility of meeting in person. I was just contacted by a business partner of my law firm, and will be in North Dakota for about 2 weeks. It will be a business/pleasure trip because I have some friends out there too that my son and I were hoping to visit. I wouldn't mind coming from Bismarck to wherever you are. So maybe an in-person meeting could be arranged. Depending on where the car is, (which shipping company was it again?) my son and I could just drive it home for a road trip, and save some cash on shipping. I've been needing a vacation! See, I'm getting it for my son, and he's paying with his own money, so a meeting would put both mine and his minds at ease.
P.S I still have not been contacted by eBay Motors so I contacted them myself to check on the status of this transaction, and I'm still awaiting a response.
Hope to hear back soon,"

Sounds like it was a flood-mobile.........'bout 4 times. Submerged under the rising waters resulting from 2 hurricanes, a tsunami, and a typhoon - aka Asian hurricane by a different name - when it was on a California used car lot.
And I hear it was it was twice filled & drained of diesel fuel.
