Buying New Tires: Smooth Ride

Hey People!

So, im in the market to buy new tires and I need quiet ride and smooth ride over back roads. Currently, I have potenza's and I can feel every bump on the road. After some research, I am looking into Continental DW.

What do you all think? Is there anything else that compares to that? I live in Chicago and probably purchase snow tires for winter.

What is your definition of quiet and smooth? If you're expecting quiet and smooth ride like say a Lexus, Then there is no such thing when you're driving a G. Not when you're on 19" wheels anyways.

I know what you're saying about 19" ride quality...However, I am looking for improvement in the quality of the ride. Right now, I have to slow the heck down when i go over smallest bump and pot holes. I am not going to be racing, doing any aggressive driving, or high speed.

Stock Blowtenzas suck the big one. I had Nittos next and they were even worse. I now have Falken FK 452 front and back and, WOW! They make the car come alive. I'd like to get Michelin Super Sports next but, the Falkens are waaaayyy too nice, absolutely love them. GL with your choice.

Good luck with those. I hope others that have had them can chime in. That's probably your best bet.

I know it may not be within your price range, however I live in chicago too.

I run Michelin Pilot Sport's for the summer on my summer wheels and I run Dunlop SP Winter tires for my winter wheels.

ive been lookin at tires a lot too. I just got yoko's and they are much better than the factory tires. From what Ive read it seems like one of the best "bang for your buck" tires is the Hankook v12 evo. supposed to be fairly quiet and ride well
