Sunroof Problem!

Ok so...i've been having this problem with my sunroof for a few months now, it was working perfectly fine one day and then the next it barely works. When i press the tilt button it tilts and goes back down right away, like it will NOT stay tilted at all. Also when i press the button for it to go back, it will not go back whatsoever.

So im thinking it cant be the motor because it tilts n goes back down, and i looked inside the rails, poked around in there and theres nothing obstructing it, and i also reset the ecu thinking it would do something but it didnt so i dont know.

So if anyone has any solutions, ideas anything.. please chime in..

Check out the railings then really clean everything with WD40, that's kept mine happy since new.

Just had a sunroof nut come loose today and rattle around by the map light, got the nut out but appears the headliner has to be removed to put the nut back on... great fun no doubt.

If anybody has a DIY for this procedure it would be most appreciated. I searched but only read other posts of people having the same issue and taking the car to the dealer (I guess it was a covered fix several years ago).

Thank You,
Jason
