I have a 05 coupe. Currently on it's way is eibach sportline, spc camber kit, and 20" wheels. Wheel specs are 20x8.5 offsets 18 20x10 offsets 20. I need recommendation for tire sizes. I know I should research, which I have tried to up to this point, but the problem is I'm a newb and dont understand half the technical stuff people are talking out. I just ordered the wheels with a tire package, so I need info ASAP before they ship, (tires package 245/35/20 275/30/30). Is this tire package ok with my drop (eibach sportline)? Again, I apologize if I could find the answer through further search but I need to call the vendor before he ships my wheels! Thanks all.

 

it will work and fill the wheel well pretty nicely, but since your goin with a decent lowering height, i would highly recommend a stretched look with a a 225/35 up front and a 255/35 in the rear. Gives the tires a mild stretched look and also a bit of a better ride from the slightly higher side wall. Im running this setup on a 8.5 front 10.5 rear rim setup. i would also recommend a 10-15mm spacer...that will really give them a flush look, and im telling you, once you see your car with a flush look type wheel set up..you will go bananas....i used to be against it with my car, after 5 rim sets i finally tried it, and cant beleive that i didnt ever do it sooner...and your car will prob be sitting lower than mine, since i am only running the tein gold line springs...

 

Ok, unless anyone else has another recommendation, that will be my request to the vendor. Thanks Leo. So what do u recommend for spacer size? The vendor told me the offset of the wheels would look flush as is. Badazz ride btw.

Trick, if you really drive your G I wouldn't go with the stretched look! Your first choice is a better idea with 245F & 275R and you don't want to go with the cheapest tire available....remember "Your life may depend on what's between you and the road!" With your wheels backspacing you may not need spacers, decide after they're installed.

Hey gary, do u think I'll have any problems with rubbing? Also, so ur saying stretched tires will not be the safest idea? Tell u the truth, I was only thinking about the look of the car first, but will stretched tires be that more dangerous? This car is my everday DD though I'm a pretty mild driver.

 

gary does have a valid point with maybe deciding on spacers after the wheels are installed....plus regarding the cheap tire thing, that is true, but you dont have to go with the most expensive tire, or rims, for that matter...i have had falkens, nankangs, toyo, and plus cheap tires like the ones i am running now...honestly, yeah my car isnt a daily driver, but i also am not tracking my car either, or driving like a crazy "young buck"...so keep that all in mind along with your wallet. Because remember, this is a g35, and weather or not you think you will, you will baby the car just because you love the car so much and dont wana damage it!! Now im not telling you to "granny" your g35 around, cause i know i sure as h**l dont granny mines either, i just dont beat it, which is what im tellin you. The tires sizes that i gave you will hardly be a "dangerous stretch" man..im running that size on a 10.5 rear and im not looking like those crazy vDUB or 350z guys....not saying that looks bad either, actually like it alot, but i do know too, that to much stretch equals face of rim meeting anything first as opposed to tire, such as curb. Being that you said you are a "pretty mild driver" i think you will be totally fine.
