Haven't had any problems with the cops so far, and I run a pretty loud exhaust with resonated test pipes.

Bozo, I don't know if they have any T-Shirts on board but I can get you ballcap if you want lol and I will get more pics up after I get back. Silencer, thanks again for the info, I think I am going to get new cats if they aren't that big of a deal and maybe, if I have the money, get a true dual nismo exhaust. What ya think?

I'm a firm believer in that as long as you don't drive like an idiot, cops will usually leave you alone, even if you do have obvious, illegal mods. The nismo catback is a good choice, one of my friends used to have it on his G and it sounded great.

Yet another question from someone new to all this, but I am wanting to go over or at least hit the 300hp mark and with a stock AT coupe I am 20hp away, will doing these initial mods get me over the 300 mark?

^^ No sir.

Bolt on mods with our cars won't yield many gains, even with a tune. If you're wanting more responsiveness in shifting or acceleration, look into getting the TransGo valve body upgrade. Since you're wanting to go FI later down the road, you'll need the shift kit anyway.

^^ FI is really the only way to get over the 300whp mark.

And I just now realized you had stated that its only 20hp more to get over the 300hp mark since our cars come factory with at least 280hp.

This isn't entirely true, and if I'm wrong with a statement, perhaps someone can correct me on it. Its more like 240 - 250 at the wheel, the 280 may be what its putting down at the crank but we're not getting that much straight from the factory.

Read this. A well compiled list of what intakes did, HP wise, on a naturally aspirated modded G. Thanks for Rob for taking his time and compiling this list. You'll see at the gains, that even Rob's NA mods did not yield him more then 300whp.

^ Yup. I've even seen some stock G's dyno as low as 220's or 230's whp. With the amount of money it would take to get over 300 whp N/A, it's much cheaper to just go FI.

I've talked to a couple of the FI guys running 5ATs and they have said a tranny cooler and the Transgo shift kit helps a lot.

Ok, so the general consensis is that you need F/I to get over the 300 mark, now I have been reading for a 5AT tranny, it would be a better choice to go with a supercharger over turbo becuase of the way a supercharger builds up with the RPM, is that correct? Also if I am going to get the F/I I need a transgo shift kit, tranny and oil coolers, anything else anyone can think of to make it last as long as possible?
