Well, it finally happened. i was making a left from my gated community onto the main road and was hit from the right by a speeding suv. the entire front end of my car was torn apart (side fenders, hood, bumper) but i guess the steel brace prevented any further damage.

nobody hurt, but the collision center made an estimate of 8k-10k to repair and 6-8 weeks to wait. Unfortunately, I am at a disadvantage because almost always the car making the left onto the main road is at fault because they dont have the right of way. However, i have explained that he had crossed the middle line and was doing over 35mph in a school zone (amongst traffic and kids afterschool). Also, i was already 2/3 across the lane and looking for traffic when he rounded the curve and hurtled into me. there was also a long blind spot formed by a line of cars waiting to pick up the kids.

this happened on monday, and im still pretty heartbroken. i know that it could have been much worse and im lucky that noone got hurt, and that this issue is only monetary and can be resolved. bodily harm cannot. im still really sad though, cars only about four months old and im still in school, so this is gonna be a real hassle for me.

Man, I hate hearing these stories. Sorry about your G, I'm glad you are OK. I know what it feels like being without your baby for a long time, first withdrawal then depression. Hang in there.

thanks a bunch guys. i was really traumatized but im feeling a bit better now. its still a pain to have to arrange rides and have everyone cope with your schedule.

Sorry to hear bout the car man. Dont worry bout it, its only sheetmetal. Its just a silly car and there isnt any need to be upset about it, cause your still walking around.

my poor g was hit on the freeway like 3 weeks ago.. still havent seen her yet.. at the body shop and insurance is still doing thier thing..

my car only had 800 miles on it.. it killed me .. i didnt even have m G for a month .... i just made my first freakn payment too.. **** that burns..

ya dude that really sucks. i know exactly what and how it happend cause i have the same problem with a line of cars picking up kids and it is very hard to see and get through. glad u aren't hurt and hopefully ur g will come back sooner than u think.
