Stock Intake vs JWT vs R2C

I was wondering for power, sound and looks, what is better? Stock intake with a K&N drop in and Z tube, the JWT pop charger and Z tube or the R2C CAI.

Z tube with jwt pop charger sounds amazing! But power gains are non existent. Z tube with k & n drop is what others will recommend. Still, you won't notice any gains with just an intake.

from what ive been learning this car really wont gain much from any bolt- , get your self a z-tube k & n combo and a motordyne 5 / 16 plenum spacer to start off with , but nothing will give u anything substantial in power except for f-i applications have fun its a great car

no bolt on intake will give you much power gains, so i recommend jwt, just for the great sound.

You can't have power gains and better sound with any of them. I've had all three so here are my thoughts.

Most power-stock
Best sound-pop charger
Best combination-R2C
Best look-R2C in my opinion.

Having had all 3 I still run the R2C because it seals against the hood to help prevent heat soak, it still gives a huge improvement over stock in the sound, it has arguably the best filter on the market (it's huge), and it just looks damn good. If you just buy the front half of the box and run it with a Z tube it'll cost you the same as a pop charger ~ $120. Here's a pic of mine:

Thanks for the replies, the problem is I have the stock airbox with the drop in, I have the JWT with Ztube, the JWT sounds great but it's kind of not that great looking and heard performance wise is worse than having the stock airbox with drop in and Ztube. The R2C is just super nice looking and apparently more performance oriented than the JWT. Is it worth the 300 bucks to get the R2C?

I will repeat what I said already^^

The full kit is ludicrous as you end up paying over $150 for their "tube". Hit up Marinelli Motorsports if you're interested in just the front half. It's really all you need.

Edit: In my picture I am running the 350Z version which has a complete side on the left. The G version has a cut out for the stock "snorkel" to fit in so you still get cold air from outside. I bought the Z version because I don't run the snorkel as you can see.

That's good as well, but it runs an oiled filter. The R2C is a dry filter that's washable and reusable. I bought an extra filter so I can have a clean one to swap in when the filter on the car gets dirty. That way I have no down time waiting for a filter to dry.

Personally I think the jwt looks better. I do like, however, that the r2c has more heat shield protection.

How about sound, does the R2C sound as good as the JWT or is there a big difference?

The sound is pretty close. I think the JWT may be slightly louder because it is open and the R2C is sealed against the hood. Honestly I couldn't tell the difference between the 2, they both sound great.
