Yeah my light comes on and I can only fill up 15-16 gallons in before it overflows. I get about 20mpg w/ 75% city driving and 25% highway. Probably 75% regular driving and 25% driving in vtec.....LOL

Driving it like a grandma. 250mi every time if I drive it for a minute after the light comes on. Reset the ecu today. New plugs this weekend. I'm sure the wheels aren't helping. Not sure what else to do.

I saw a TSB regarding it, do the engines get replaced for free if this happens? Does it have to be under warrenty? Also How are these cars to maintain..pretty cheap I am assuming even though it is an infinity? Tires expensive? What are the most common problems? Insurance pretty decent for a 20 year old guy? Anything else I should know?
Thanks guys
The oil cunsumption known issue as you have read is with the 2005-2007 rev-up motors. That means manual trans only. In my opinion any 2005 to 2007 with this problem (excluding very low mileage cars) should have already raised it's ugly head. The most important thing you can do is to get the vin number of any vechicle your considering buying that falls under the TSB go to an Infiniti dealer or call Infiniti Consumer Affairs and have them check the VIN to see if the motor has been replaced. If replaced you should be OK. If not and the motor has higher mileage it (should) be OK unless the previous owner owns an oil company. Drivetrain warranty is 6 years or 60,000 miles.
