As long as i don't see that bill, I have no worries.
Not to be an *** for asking again, but does anyone know if they install the newest version of our transmission when replacing the faulty one under warranty?

I have no clue. Just call the dealership and ask. I never bothered to ask since it was installed before I bought my car.

Just picked my car up this morning. 1st-4th all shift pretty good and the clutch seems a lot smoother as well. 5th and 6th gear, however, are really hard to get into. 5th has gotten smoother just since driving to work but I still have to manhandle 6th to get it in. Should I bring it back to Infiniti asap or will this smooth out over the next couple hundred miles? Sounds like my shifter needs to be adjusted, thats my guess.
Also, my new transmission only has a 1 year/12,000 mile warranty. Oh well I should be able to identify any problems by then.

I believe the CD009 are new transmissions. Thats what my invoice says as well.
I'm hoping mine smooths out because 5th and 6th gear are a pain right now.

See the pictures listed here to see the shot of where to find the sticker for part number and revision.

Yeah rdeverett, three months into my 'new' transmission and it still clunks into gears and feels more notchy than my first transmission ever did. I even went so far as to jack up my car to inspect that they'd actually put in a new transmission I was so disappointed with how it felt.
It was unmistakably shiny and new. I dont know who manufactures these for Nissan but they are pieces of ****. Might as well be a cardboard box full of spare gears zip-tied to a motor.
And hey faiz23, why not tell him to save up for a motor while you're at it. The oil seal issue scares the heck out of me. Just waiting for that to hit me after all my bad luck with transmissions and the rest of the driveline!

. It sucks with the issues that can pop up with this vehicle if you do not keep up with maintenance or use parts that are older revision. There is no guarantee that even if you get a new transmission it will be perfect or a new motor and not expect to consume oil. These machines suck after all and break down at one point or another. It is best to find a machine that has the lowest cost of maintenance. That would be a Camry or Accord of some sort and most of us are not willing to drive a FWD car.

Yeah, my new transmission is already showing faulty signs. It will still grind a little bit getting into 2nd gear after sitting over night. 5th and 6th gear are getting a little easier to shift into. I have about 11,000 more miles on my warranty so I'm not too worried yet. They can put all the transmissions in it they want as long as I get a loaner in the mean time.
