New Transmission Warranty

I just dropped my G off at the dealership this past weekend because the synchros are bad. I got a call this morning saying they're replacing the transmission under warranty (68,800 miles and 3 months left on the powertrain warranty...whew.) and I was wondering if the new transmission will have a 1 year, 10,000 mile warranty or something along those lines. I've heard other people are on their 2nd and 3rd transmissions so I don't want to get stuck with another faulty transmission without a warranty on it.

Thanks for the info. That's a decent warranty. Please do get me the exact details if no one else does by the time you're home.

I've personally only put about 4.5k on it but that's beside the point. My local dealership is definitely no longer viewed as a stealership in my opinion. I was shocked that they were easily willing to install a new transmission on a car that's 1,200 miles away from being out of warranty. Props to Infiniti of Gwinnett in Georgia.

I have a 3 year 30k mile warranty on my transmission. Just found this out by calling the dealership. The previous owner had the work done.

Awesome. Thanks for the info guys. For anyone who has had theirs replaced, how is it holding up? Does it shift like new? Did they put the most up-to-date transmission in (c009 i think)?

I noticed it was a little smoother, it's nice to know if you bought the car used like me that the trani is perfect now. Who knows how many gears someone grinded before we had our hands on her

Yeah my dealership ( Orlando Infiniti ) didn't question it at all. I actually brought it in the very last day it was under warranty. I lucked out big time!!!!

Thanks for all the help everyone. I'm relieved that I'll have some time to see if the new transmission is faulty.

Do they install the new transmission when replacing the old ones (c0009 i think)? Supposedly those have fixed synchros?

of course they replaced it with no problem... Do you know how many labor hours they can log for that?

the service manager probably jumped in circles
