I want to own a G, please help!

Hey guys, I have been looking around on the forum for general info and have found some great stuff! I do have a few questions that remained unanswered though.

How much does it cost to maintain a G35 coupe? (preferably dealer prices)

Over the years how reliable has your coupe been?

Of the g35 coupe years 03-07, was there a particular year that was the best?

Thanks in advance, Appreciate all the input

Dealer prices you will get soo ripped off you won't want to pay the prices. The car is very reliable as long as you will take care of it obviously, the 05/07 coupe's have the best interior's but the engines for that year with 6mt burn oil even some with auto had problems but it's not on every car. 03/04 have older interior but the engines don't have problems the main problems with these cars is leaking valve covers and compression roads don't last to long other then that it's an amazing car.

I got my G about a month ago, with 69k miles and it drives like its brand new. It's a 05 automatic. Haven't had any problems so far, just had to replace a clearance light bulb. There fun to drive. I like my 05 just because it places MP3 made CD's and interior looks nice.

Id say get the 06-07 because of the newer headlights, taillights and a few other features. As for reliable, mine has been great besides the recalls and typical maintenance. Cost of the typical maintenance is relatively high compared to other cars, but not too awful, like a BMW. I would suggest searching a little more, I think there may even be a tread on reliability.. GL!

Is there a solution to the 06-07 oil consumption problem? I heard it only effected 2% of the cars manufactured.

Also what are these differences in interiors, I didn't really notice anything.

Thanks for the help so far!

As far as differences it's been discussed countless times on the forums... And with maintenance depends where you go or how much preventative maintenance you do vs the bare minimum

69k miles? It's time to check your spark plugs for oil! Check the #6 plug. Good luck.

I'm currently looking at an '04 Coupe with 70k miles... whats the deal with the oil on the plugs and what other recalls are you referring?

Thanks, I have to take the car in for the air bag recall for the 05 and I'll tell them to look at those too.

With any car out there thats USED, there will be maintenance and it will be pricey. When you buy a used car you accept the fact that the car is USED and whether the car changed hands or stayed with its original owner it will need maintenance on a regular basis. The trick is to find one that was properly maintained.

Get a ...

2005!!

just bought one from a Subaru Dealership for ABOUT $18000 after tax/registration/the whole shiet with only 25,000 miles on it! super lucky & got hooked up when it came to pricing [obviously].

its 6MT & its wonderful. i definitely choose my G35 over my past cars [which include a '04 WRX wagon, '10 MK6, '04 s2000]!!

definitely a great care, and not a bad choice!! make it happen! <3

I bought a 04 Coupe fully loaded with 102K miles. I figured I would either buy one with 50-70K miles for 16K or one with just over 90K miles for 13-14K since the 90K mile service that the previous owner had done was $$$$$$$$$$$$

I love the car. I've only had to replace the lower arm bushing on the left but had both put in anyways. I got rid of some of the interior vibrations by stuffing foam tape inside panels and the rear speaker panel under the glass.
