Does the car have power? (lights, radio, etc work)

Edit: also, is your car at or mt?

yes, all of the electronics are working fine. It is a 6 speed manual transmission. However, when I turn my key, it's nothing happens. my stereo turns on. My horn works fine. I'm thinking it's either the ignition coil or the ignition control module?

It could be the starter switch under the clutch. That's a more common problem. If not that, it could just be the starter and solenoid. Those are the other more common issues. If those are fine, then it could be the coils. When you turn the key, do you hear a loud click?

try and bump start it since u have a manual tranny. First thing you should do is try boosting it although since your accessories are on its probably not the battery. Check the clutch switch everyones talking about if it's not that try and look up fuses for the starter. If thats good check the power at the starter signal wire, if that has power when you try and crank over then you need a starter.

It might be either the starter motor or solenoid..

The click means there is current through the coils but there isn't power to the main contacts that power the starter motor. Hard to say tho, because it could also be a bad starter motor..

The only way to know for sure is to measure the voltages.. You can test the solenoid terminal where it connects to the motor. If there is no reading when you turn the key, that probably mean the solenoid is bad and you gotta replace that.. If the voltage is normal, then it might be the starter motor and you can replace that.

I had an issue with my acura starter and it did a very similar thing. I heard at one point while diagnosing the starter than you can either Hit the starter with a stick and see if it fires up the car kinda like when people hit the window motor to get it to work again temporarily. Also I have heard of people running a power wire direct to starter or solenoid to trigger it manually and rule out a bad cable.

ya you can try jumping the starter to see if it'll engage, you can also try hitting it that works sometimes to.

It's becoming common to see this in G35s now... change your starter. If it ever cranks but won't start, start checking your sensors, more specifically the crank sensor. And I'm saying this assuming you've already tried jumping the car to make sure it's not the battery of course.
