n00b bout to school you peoples...grill removal

n00b bout to school you peoples...grill removal

so...i've read about 15 different posts about how to "take your grill off" and all of these people fight for 20 minutes to remove these DEVIL clips...it's way WAY easier than that.

on your grill there are two small rectangle holes in the top corners of the grill. look in there and you see a little black diamond with a line thru it horizontally. get a standard screw driver and stick it in the groove, turn it 90 degrees and the grill with the square holes on it slip right off. then you can take that little clip out without the grill in the way to put the piece back in to the grill...then install that into the clip holes.

maybe i missed that in all the "how to" sections, but the ones i read all talk about using pliers and screwdrivers from the BACK of the grill.

and i'm just tryin to be funny...i don't really think i'm gonna school anyone on anything....yet.

I'll see if that helps. I didn't read through any DIY's but I tried taking mine off once and couldn't get it.

It took me like to 3 minutes. Removed those clips at the top (the easy ones where you pry them out) and I kinda just pulled the grill and it snapped out. Then snapped back in. Not sure if it was the right way tho... ?

Yeah lol thats the way I do mine, I just left the devil clips out, you don't even need them.

Wait, so I can just remove the easy clips form the top and pull it out? Dont need to remove any other bolts or screwss?

i had to remove the clips and then take a flathead screwdriver to put some pressure on the tabs. came off in about a minute
