Well I installed my 19" rims about 3 weeks ago and the guys at the shop said that the low tire sensor could not be hooked up to the new wheels, I never gave it any thought until today, as I was driving home and the light came on, I read somewhere that it can be turned of but I cannot find the link.
Also is there a way to hook the sensor back up to the new wheels.

If you do not have the tire pressure sensors installed on the vehicle (and registered), the low tire pressure warning light comes on after driving for a while (30-45 minutes for me). I have never heard of a way to turn off this self-diagnostic function.

The tire pressure sensors are part of the valve stem on the OEM wheels. Apparently they don't fit on some aftermarket rims. You could try taking the sensors from your OEM rims to another tire shop to see if they can be installed.

If you do get the sensors installed, you have to go to the infiniti dealer to have them registered. They can only be registered with the Consult tool.

I thought the tire pressure monitor only worked if all 4 sensors are present? so if you change out all 4 wheels there won't be a problem?

There is a minor problem if you don't have the sensors -- after driving for a while (30-45 minutes), the low tire pressure light comes on. It goes away when you turn the car off and turn it back on. This is the problem that urban is having.

The tire pressure monitoring system only works correctly if all 4 sensors are present and registered.

Thanks for the info, it's funny though as I was driving for 2 weeks like this until the sensor came on. Is there a fuse which I can remove so that the annoying light will disappear off the cluster.
