Quote: ah okay, well that does kind of suck but at least I know I'm not alone haha. since we're talking about little glitches with our 6MT's, has anyone else felt it is sometimes pretty difficult to shift from 5th to 6th gear without putting a lot of effort onto the shifter?

Im a 5AT so they forgot to give me 6th Gear Damn Infiniti and their lack of proper gearing

no it shouldnt be any harder, i feel like 5-6 is the smoothest gear change all the time.

Quote: as the title says, my car tends to make a loud rattling noise from underneath when I am at a stop light, but it will go away if I push the clutch down (sound comes back when I release the clutch). any idea on how to fix this issue?
Quote: Im not sure if you read the title of this thread, but yes the sound does go away when you engage the clutch. If it doesnt go away then yes you may have another problem. Chatter should not happen when your clutch is engaged.
Pressing the clutch peddle and "Engaging" the clutch are two different things.
"Pressing" the clutch peddle while not in gear will stop the rattling sound of the throwout bearing, what the OP is concerned with (bold for easier reading). Engaging the clutch while trying to accelerate is when you will experience "clutch chatter". Something completely different.
I did read the title! Did you?

Quote: ^ yes, my sound goes away with the clutch pressed down fully. comes right back when I let my foot off the pedal. so this is a common problem that there is no real fix to it seems?
Start with the links I provided, then search more. What you describe is the throwout bearing.
