It's a nice exhaust, just not for me. It's played out way too much in my area. I have two friends with this exhaust and they wouldn't be too happy with a third one.

The shifting is instantaneous and will throw you back a little if you shift at WOT. Huge difference compared to stock. I didn't do the install myself, another member on this board installed it for me in his garage in about 4 hours.

I also daily drive my car, under normal driving, it shifts like stock but a little better. It's the shifts during aggressive driving that will be the most noticeable. You can hear me chirp 2nd and 3rd gears in the exhaust video I posted, and that's with big 20" wheels. One of the best mods you can do.

Now you realize you don't need MotorDynes MREV2, their spacers are well worth the cost. I've heard Bassani exhaust systems in person, they sound really good. Since N.J. has emissions tests you don't want any kind of test pipes regardless of what they're called....FAIL! HFC's like BERK'S will pass emission tests even here in CA. Attend a few meets in your area and listen to member exhaust systems, then you'll know exactly what you want! G/L

gotta make sure you get the one you want. i'd go with the FI. Drones on the highway can get really annoying too.

I wouldn't go off of youtube vids, find some g35 people in your area with exhausts. I bought the hks knockoff because ebays videos sounded good, but in person its really raspy and terrible drone.

FI has a little drone around 2,500 under load but I mean you get use to it.. if you want to "play it off" just go light on the throttle and stay around 3k-3,500rpm and it stays quiet as stock.

I have a OEM CATs with a FI exhaust on. I likie..

Thats exactly what I want. I got the stock, forged 19" sport rims. I'm good with those, I may powdercoat them.

So it comes down to the fast intentions exhaust and the motordyne shockwave v2. when it comes to tone and sound level, what are the differences? I won't have time to be going to any G meets any time soon and am not aware of any in Bergen County, NJ. Also how do the drone levels compare?

Thanks

I can't speak for the FI, although I'm pretty sure it has a deeper tone than the Shockwave since it uses mufflers. I used to have the Gamma axleback, which is very similar to the FI, but it had bad droning, so I switched to the Shockwave. It has very little to no drone.
