A few newbie questions
A few newbie questions
Hi,
I'm relatively new to this forum. I should be getting my black/black, premium, sport, aero coupe in about a week. All the dealers around here said it was going to be June, so I was excited to find one that had one coming in in about a week. I quickly put my deposit down. A few questions...
I realize that I'm not going to get any money off. The dealer said that while they don't discount them at all, that atleast they don't ask for any more. Thats good I suppose. Has anyone got anything thrown in for free such as the trunk mat or mud flaps? You'd think that for $35k they could throw in an $80 trunk mat.
Also, any good license plate ideas for the above car? I'm 30, a Physician Assistant (PA) and work in the ER.
Thanks,
John

Re: A few newbie questions
Congrats on the choice of car. I had ordered a black on black 6MT for MSRP, and was willing to wait a few months. Then my dealer calls and says he had a DG model on the lot and was I interested.
I rushed down there, and fell in love. Needless to say, I bought it. But since it wasn't my original color, I asked the salesman to throw in a vehicle cover and leather bra.
He gave me the cover for free ($250) and the bra at dealer invoice (savings of $40). Not too shabby. Plus, I got my car in January instead of April.
Good luck!

Re: A few newbie questions
I will get my blk/blk 6 speed in 2 weeks ... I initially ordered the car as they threw in a full Diamond Kote package (rustproofing, paint protection, sound proofing, interior leather protection 950 CAD)
But, I changed my mind and cancelled the diamond kote and got the money value off the MSRP.
Take care

Re: A few newbie questions
Most likely the dealer won't discount anything off of msrp, not even the trunk mat. Your best bet is trying to get add'l accessories for free. I told my salesman that I would bring in the Infiniti survey and we could fill it out together if he would throw in some wheel locks. They're real big on getting all 'excellents' on that survey.

Hi,
I just re-ordered my G35 Coupe, don't ask, big issue with first dealership. Anyway, I paid MSRP but I was able to get a free trunk mat in the process. Done deal, written on the invoice as "free". Good luck. Never to late to ask.

Congrats on your impending car, snareman.
As for plates... ha! I've got tons of ideas myself, but since I'm in PA, I'll be honest and say I'd rather not share many of them before I get my own! There's no way to check in PA which plates are already taken, so it's a real crap shoot...
The real question is whether you want a plate that's "G-themed", or something more personalized to who YOU are.
What I CAN tell you is that in PA a custom plate is a measly $20.00 one time charge, so getting a personalized plate is a bargain compared to most other states (NJ has a $20 per year renewal fee for personalized plates, for instance). Also, you're allowed 7 letters or numbers in any combination, with one space, or one dash.
A few I've thought about but probably won't be getting (or are likely taken):
G-FORCE
RATED-G
How about one for a gynecologist...?
G-SPOT
The list goes on... LOL
