The technical answer lies in how Nissan programmed the throttle body. No matter how hard the gas is pushed the throttle plate will only open 75% max. The Sprint Booster gets around that by manipulating the ECU to receive/process the drive by wire signal faster than it normally does somehow.

The better option to eliminate lag IMO is the Osiris tune. The TB can be reprogrammed to open 100% at full throttle giving you instant response to how you drive. There's no lag anywhere. The difference in how the car drives before the tune and after the tune is night and day, not to add you get a whole lot of other benefits including more HP/TQ which just adds to the fun.

I have an 07 A/T and the reason your pick up is slower is because the vehicle has a protective throttle restriction up to 40 mph to protect the engine from being to stressed while slamming the throttle. It's in the manual, hope this helps? The guys are right, if you ease into the throttle it will give you what you want. Some tunes will allow you to remove the restriction but advise that it will add more stress to the engine and they will not be liable.

I was under the impression that in order to receive the maximum benefits from an Osiris tune you also need an intake upgrade, spacer and high flow cats as a minimum. Tuning a stock car would not improve performance significantly.

SprintBooster boosts the signal throughout the throttle range. When you push the pedal a quarter the signal is immediately sent to the ECU then to the throttle body (1/4 pedal). It is not only effective at WOT. I don't know exactly how it works just know it does.

how expensive is this osiris tune and do you really have to have mods already done to get any benefits from it? is this also something you have to mail you ecu/not have a car for a week to get?

because i have a 6 speed and think my throttle response stinks...

^If you want the full benefits get the car dyno tuned, preset tunes will still work but are not as good. The reflash and tuning goes for around $600-800 but mainly depends on the shop. If you have the basic breathing mods (MREV2, 5/16 spacer, TP/HFC's) Osiris will work great on your car, I wouldn't recommend getting it if your completely stock.

ok, then its something ill need to hold off on. ill be picking up a set of FI high flow cats and cat back exhaust soon but am still running a stock set up for now. im used to a cable driven throttle not this electric or drive by wire crap. what ever its called.

i feel like if i floor the damn thing it takes 2 seconds for the car to realize ive hit the go button...
