Angry Window motor is possessed!

This weekend I replaced my driver's side motor for the second time in 8 months! The first time I replaced it it worked like a charm. I followed the same process as I did the last time using the procedure outlined in the forum. After installing the rebuilt motor and resetting it the window (after being in the full up position) would roll down a few inches by itself, after several seconds it would roll down a few more inches and repeat this intermittent process until it was all the way down! I tried to put it back up but NG. I then put the side passenger window down (it was hot) and tried the driver side again and I was able to get it up but then the passenger side would not go up! Yesterday I finally got both windows up and disconnected the power to the drivers side window motor to ensure both windows stay up. Any suggestions on how to fix this - it has a mind of it's own!

Yup, that sounds about right. I did the reset on my driver's side and that fixed the problem........for about 2 weeks. Now it works right about half the time. The other half of the time when I open my door the window drops down about an inch or 2 and doesn't go all the way back up. And sometimes when I have my windows down; if I shut my door my window goes up all by itself.

Crazy, I guess it's just a matter of time before my window motor goes out.

I am sure I am pushing the reset button in all the way. So I guess the reconditioned motor has a reset problem? I haven't even returned the motor I just took out! Any chance it could be the master window switch?

So I am taking my G in to have it diagnosed at the Stealership tomorrow for $120. Hopefully once I know what the root cause is I can fix it myself.

I thought that was only me. When I push the up button it will go up half way and just slam down like 4 times then finally goes back up. So advance auto has a lifetime warranty on these window motors? If so thats awesome im going to buy a set.
