It's an Automatic transmission, like I said in pretty good shape so I think I'm going to give the diagnostic by Infiniti a shot and see what they have to say.

know u might not want to give up on the car because you've been looking for it and its rare but thats not a great reason to buy it. esp with frame dmg at 14k

when looking at both the cars i have owned I ran up on a few vehicles that were what i wanted but had a few flaws and I waited out, glad I did got the perfect car I want for the perfect price even though it took > 6 months

That's why I don't want to give up on this car if there's a chance its in good shape.

Is it a clean title or a salvage?

I think OP doesn't want to pay $17k that is why he is holding out and hoping he can get this one for thousands less

Not worth the possible future hassles imo, no matter how good everything else may seem.. even fom a dealers mouth.

The accident wasnt just a simple fender bender. Anything including the phrase "frame damage" just run the other way... no further questions asked.

If the car has been in a wreck and was repainted then its normally 30% less than what the car was worth when it was wrecked, to help you out a little. This info was giving from an Infiniti inspector.
