How to remove cubby?

How do you remove the cubby on your stock headunit? I want to remove it to paint it but am not sure how to remove it? The cubby im talking about is the one ontop of the ac control were you can put stuff in.

You need to first remove to shift *** then the part around the shift *** from there you will see the screws. a DYI on here somewhere I lost the link

start with the shifter cover and work your way up there is a diy the whole radio has to come out and the cubby unscrews from there.
