Clutch & Warranty?

I know you all are going to tell me to search...flame on...I have my fire retardant suit ready...

I'm new and just bought a '05 G35...
Have the car for about 3 weeks and @ 66K miles now bought it at 65K...clutch is sticking not coming all the way up when hot and it seems the throw out bearing is going bad...when I press the clutch and it engages it makes this really bad noise...I'll try to post a video of the sound tomorrow...

I see on the carfax the car has been maintained regularly and the clutch was replace at 35K...also a warranty claim was used at around 50K...

I just need advice on how I can get this covered under warranty...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

I love my new ride but man...I hate this clutch issue....making me regret it badly...please help out...

Thanks in advance.....

I hope you got your suit on and tested.

Replace the fluid, lubricate the clutch pedal, Swap out slave cylinder, swap out clutch line, swap out master cylinder. You don't need to do all that but diagnose in that order.

I had the same issue and all it took was a total flush of the old dark black murky clutch fluid. Now i have a light honey looking color in the reservoir and no issues since Day 1 when i picked it up from the dealer.

well I guess I need to be a tad bit more clear on my question.

I know what the issues are etc and how to fix it...

I just wanted to know if it was a possible to claim a warranty on the clutch issue and the noise it is causing...I just wanted to see if anyone has submitted such claim and recieved a new clutch...weird clutch going bad in 30K miles...

Thanks...

Seriously, seriously, seriously doubtful you'll find a dealer that'll consider the clutch and related components a warranty repair.

Unless your car was brand spanking new and you took it back to the dealer immediately after purchase with serious clutch issues I see the dealer calling it a wear item and bending you over.

Seeing as the clutch was replaced at 35K (obviously beaten on) it's about due for change again (if the same owner had the car).

Good news is you can do an aftermarket performance upgrade yourself for a reasonable price.

Oh - and a clutch going bad in 30K is very reaasonable if you had boy racer behind the wheel.

Lots of threads here about early clutch wear on the G. Most are by aggressive drivers.

No stealership is going to replace a wear and tear part.

well...

there were 2 owners prior to me...the warranty service is with a 3rd party so the stealership is getting paid to do the job regardless if they wanted to do it.

I think I will try to convince them that the issue is related to the slave and the issue caused the release bearing and clutch to go bad. this senerio is completely plausible if you think about it. the clutch getting stuck does cause the release bearing to not full return, sort of like riding the clutch if you ask me... if this is the senerio then it is covered under warranty...

I'm gonna try...wish me luck...

I already done the Ranger protocol on the fluid. Still sticks but a lot less. only when I drive it for a while and when it's warm outside will it stick...

I'm taking her in tomorrow to get checked...but dang $150 for an inspection...I hope its something that the stealership will fix under warranty...clutch too...
