Thinking of an 04 coupe.

Hi, Recently i've been looking at 05/06 coupes but then i realized warranty will wear out soon and don't want possible oil consumption issues to kill me so i think an 04 is the best bet for me. I know the interior of the 04's don't look as nice but i'm willing to live with that without having to worry about my engine getting ruined by a well known problem.
What problems should i look out for an 04 that is fixed in the 05/06 coupes. And i know there is less hp on the 2004 manual coupes but more torque. Does that even out? or is the 2004 cars significantly slower than 05/06 models. Hopefully this is the last time i start a new thread with questions aha.

Hey man I just bought the 2004 g coupe manual and I was about to buy a 05 manual g coupe...I drove both and they felt exactly the same ...the 05 is heavier and has less torque so it kinda evens out...I like the 05 center console but I grew to like the 04 console aswell...mines a twilight blue coupe with brembo brake package, the previous owner even put in slotted rotors and a set of yokahama tires....the car is awesome either way 04 or 05...
Good luck

91000 kms which is about 56000 miles?

There is also a local 03 coupe with only 70000 kms. What differences are there between an 03 and 04?

Are you saying the 05 is more prone to the oil consumption issues?

That's what i've been reading and have been told by faiz23. The rev-up motors in 05's an up have a higher chance of having the issue.

I have an 04 and to be honest the 05+ models hands down have way better interior, other then that the horse power feels the same.

I don't mind the 04 interior. I'm 18 so just having a g will make me happy regardless of the year haha.
Just finished the deal with this mint 04 this morning and will be getting it taken for inspection this week. Gunna pick it up on thursday if mechanic says it's all okay. Then i'll get photos up here when it's sunny out I'm so excited. haha
