Different solutions but no real results: oil leakage from the valve cover
Hey guys,
Even though this is my first post, I've been searching the forums for the past several months. Here's what I have to work with:
2004 G35 Coupe 6 speed Manual with the Brembo package. About 91,xxx miles on the odometer. Black on black with Navi. Bone stock.
I picked up my G35 on April 1st and since then I've been trying to fix a slow leak coming from lower front passenger side valve cover. Throughout my search on the forums, I've taken the forums advice by replacing out both the valve cover gaskets, scraped off the old RTV sealant and reapplied a fresh layer directly to the corners of the head, replaced out the PCV valve, added 5/8 washers to the valve cover bolts on the lower side of the passenger side valve cover to increase the amount of pressure being applied, and even bought new valve cover bolts in hopes to stop this leak BUT it's still there. Slowly but surly I still see it leaking.
I am fresh out of ideas how to stop this leak. It previously got to the point where enough oil was seeping out and dripped onto the alternator to cause it to short out and had to be replaced. I'm open to any reasonable solutions to stop this leaking.
