Infamous 3rd Gear Grind

I have a 03 coupe and out of no where my 3rd gear has started to grind - BAD. After searching the forum/online I found out there is a defect in these tranny's and the synchros are bad. With no warranty, what are my choices?

replace the tranny with a cd009
