installed the ztube and pop charger by the write up on here. reset the ecu and the idle. car drives fine but when i get on the car and let the car get into the upper rmps 4500-redline through a couple gears(example me passing someone). once i push in the clutch and put the car in neutral to coast the car kills.. it has done this 3 times since the install and i checked everything all the connections and everythings fine. dont know what to do next..

I have always heard it described as stall, not kill.
You could try searching for the term "stall" on here. I have seen several threads where people have changed the intake have problems with the car stalling.

I haven't had this problem, but I do recall seeing it come up in the past. Try searching jwt popcharger stall

This sounds like the problem.Originally Posted by Yarik.G35
Check the MAF sensor. Try to clean it out for a start.
More than likely your MAF was covered with Air Filter oil. I'd give it a shot to clean it with MAF cleaner (let it dry and then restart the car) ....

my350z has covered this problem several times.
1. make sure everything is tight.
2. clean the maf sensor.
3. clean the throttle body.
4. they say to simply stop putting it in neutral - doesn't save a considerable amount of gas, and not nearly as safe while braking compared to being in gear.

regardless if you're driving the engine should not shut off when coasting on neutral. Originally Posted by timmy4me

I opt for cleaning the MAF and or relearn idle air via consult.

Careful when messing with the MAF, seen a few people break theirs while trying to clean it and it is an expensive repair/replacement.

Did you disconnect the battery before you made the changes? If not, disconnect and wait 5-10 mins, reconnect and drive off into the sunset.

It won't hurt to do what the other members have suggested but, is your G idling correctly....700 to 800 RPM warm? My guess is your VQ has a very low idle which means the reset failed.Originally Posted by blackx07

While warm it's around 700 with ac on full blast. Closer to 600 with it off. Might need to do the reset againOriginally Posted by gary c

also ive noticed that if i get into the higher rpms the needle drops very quickly and all the way down to 500 then jusmps around a little until it gets settled around 700 or so..
