Touch Up paint help
I bought a tow hook cover and it had like alittle black spot in the middle. Its not a scratch, just a black spot. So I thought touch up will be no problem. But right now it looks all smudged and out of place...? I shook it intensly for 5 minutes like it says but idk what to do. Did the touch up paint go bad? or what?
Here's how it looked before: (again its not like bruised/dug in. It feels smooth like the rest of the tab but black)

Here's how it looks now with touch up making it look like ****

Will it get better as it dries (and add more coats?).

Yeah thats what i didnt wanna do. Took me months to find someone selling a painted one my color. I thought it'd be a simple touch up but for some reason it didn't come out as I expected...
Start with 1000 then work your way up to 2500 or even 3000. You will really only be taking mostly clear coat with that grit. Once youve pretty much evened out the clear and the touch up you put on you can either spray it with a durable clear coat or a quality polish. Since its such a small part I would take this as an opportunity to learn a little about paint correction. Do some research before you start.
