Issue resolved: Driver side o2 sensor had come a bit lose... had to go get a 22mm wrench... done.
It was still inside the TP but at certain rpms was vibrating mad inside the TP.

I have a current rattling sound too, got my car on a lift and started banging on everything, found that my drivers side TP sounds like there is something loose inside of it.
I believe the rattling at low rpm is the heatshield. It comes loose after a while, same prob in my car. Some ppl remove it and rattling stops, it's up to you.

The heat shield directly above the TP did rattle slightly when I hit it but it wasn't the same sound. When banging the TP there was clearly a distinct rattling sound which I couldn't pinpoint. And I checked both O2 sensors at the time but they were tight.

Is there can be negative point about removing the cat heatshield or it doesn't really matter?

I hate to "raise an old thread from the dead" but I am wondering the same thing. Could removing the heat shield damage anything?

Sorry to revive an old thread but it's better than posting a new one. I just had my tdx v2 + art pipes installed and occasionally I hear a "clanking" noise. Itaalmost sounds like something hitting either the exhaust or TP. Anybody have a clue what it might be? Any help is greatly appreciated
