TSB stands for "Technical Service Bulletins". You're thinking of Recall...

TSBs are made when a car has a very common problem and to make sure the warranty department doesn't waste labor/time/money doing diagnosis they're asked to do the TSB first. So example would be if you were to take your G35 into the dealer for axle clicking (assuming it is under warranty). The dealer would prefer the TSB first. If it is still a problem afterwards they will replace the axle. However the TSB has to be performed first.

^ at least that's how it should work.

But dealers will not do a TSB for free since Infiniti will not pay them to do it (vehicle out of warranty). But recalls (Such as the 2006 headlights) will be honored.

You guys need to search for this info. We is getting tired of posting same crap over and over and over and over again. This TSB calls for 45mins -1.5hours of labor and materials are like $5 if you only get grease or $50 if you replace all parts and bolts. If you do not get the sounds fixed only bad thing that can happen is the axle nut can get loose and that is not safe along with minor friction where the grease should have been and is now washed away. I would just find a local member and throw him some cash to have them do it for you or just take it to a shop and offer $75 to have it done.

Most places here in socal charges around $70-$90 to do this since it was so common on the forums around 04-06..

FullViet I'd just print out the PDF and take it with you to a shop.

Gonna tackle my axle click today. First off I'm gonna try to just torque the axle nuts back to spec and see if my sound goes away for now. So here's my question. Should I jack up the car? Do I need to have the e-brake on to torque those b1tches? Sorry for my noobiness. Thanks in advance.
