Awful sound while driving
A few days ago I started noticing a small squeak or clicking noise coming from the driver's side of the car when I would drive by parked cars or walls on that side so the noise would reverberate. I also noticed sometimes when I got on the throttle at a certain point there was a persistent squeaking (almost sounded like belts, but I replaced the belts ~10k miles ago) that would increase in speed as the car did.
Today the sound got a lot worse though, it sounds like this awful grinding/squeak that is very audible at all speeds and increases in speed as the car increases in speed. I notice sometimes the sound seems to be less when the clutch is fully engaged, although I can hear it slightly when the rpms go below ~1500. I had the transmission replaced about a year ago when I was experiencing a grind in fifth gear, so I don't know if that could have something to do with the problem. I also installed an MREV2 and 5/16th iso thermal spacer about 2 weeks ago, if that could have anything to do with it.
Either way, this sound is REALLY loud and concerning, and I'm afraid to drive the car until I can either diagnose this sound or go get it checked out, but I figured I should ask here first.
Here is a video to show you guys what I'm talking about:
