Talking Hello all! Just bought my first car. 07 G35 6mt

So excited! Got it cheap. It's banged up. Whoever had this car abused the fuuuuuuuuuu out of it. Scratches everywhere, rims all scraped up. Weird rattling sound coming from the exhaust or tranny not sure. And my dad said when I punched it he saw black smoke so he thinks it's burning oil. I have quite the project ahead of me. She's in good hands now tho. Don't even know where to begin. I'm happy as fack tho! This has been my favorite car since it came out!

So you bought a destroyed car basically as your first car? Im assuming your quite young since it is your first car, and so I probably wouldn't celebrate the work ahead of you.

Sometimes cheap isn't so cheap once you have to fix everything. Parts on this car add up quick. Might have been off spending a little more on one in decent shape.

Good luck bud.

It's not too horrible. Yea the parts on these things are expensive. I've been researching for a minute. But I think it will be worth it.

Why are you guys bashing? Plenty of people buy ****ed cars and put work into them to get them running again. It takes a lot of skill and patience for that, and anyone who is willing to tackle the job should be applauded.

GL with the rebuild OP. I hope you can restore the G back to new!

Thanks bruh I will keep things updated. I gotta see what's actually up with it. For right now I'm jus happy. My love for cars is almost as big as my love for working on them haha! She's not too bad on the outside. The front bumper and the rims are the worst of it. I will post pics tomorrow.

Congrats on the new ride. I rebuilt quite a few cars back in my younger days, but have found over the years it is much less expensive to spend more up front. Enjoy getting to know your new ride.
