I am buying a car from NC and I live in VA. Does the NC title have to be notarized considering VA doesn't require notarization?
Here is the deal. I bought a f150 about a month ago for a good deal. I no longer needed the truck so I decided no to register it. The NC title is signed by the previous owner, and he left the buyers name blank. I put the guys name in there who bought it from me. So when he goes to the VA dmv it looks like the guy that bought the truck from me bought it from the guy I bought it from. When I got the truck from NC the seller never got his signature notarized, but since VA doesn't require notarization I figured the guy that bought the truck from me would be fine. I hear that the notarization spot on the NC title needs to be filled only if it is a NC to NC title transfer.
