Couple of questions!

Hey all, recently I noticed a few things that I was wondering if anyone had some insight on.

The first one is the more serious issue. Whenever I am turning right I hear scraping from the front end of the car, however not when I'm turning left. Anyone have any idea what this could be? I had the brakes checked and they are fine.

Second one is my has popping/pinging coming from under the car. It doesn't sound like its coming from the engine and I always use 92/93 fuel. It sounds like when you normally shut a car off and its cooling down but I've never heard a car do it while its on.

Third is when I'm accelerating lower in the rpm's I hear a whistle sound(no I don't have a turbo) and am just wondering if thats normal or what that sound could be? Once I hit like 3k rpm's it goes away.

Sorry guys I searched and didn't find any satisfying answers. Thanks in advance

Do you have the factory wheels?

No the car came from the previous owner with 18" ADR M-Classics. The stealership said that could be the problem but does it make sense it only happens when turning right?

BigG, the noise you hear when turning left is probably your tire hitting due to the offset of those wheels. The popping sound you hear could be your radiator. Take your G to a Radiator shop in your area, see if it needs to be flushed or maybe even rodded....replace the cap too. A qualified shop will give you the right advice about your cooling system....not the stealership!

Thanks Gary, the scraping only happens when turning right, not left. It also that I noticed didn't make this sound when I first got the car? Is the offset on these wheels not good for our car?

If the offsets are in the 40 neighborhood your tires will rub along with the inside of your wheel under tight turns....been thru that with my first set of Volks. This is what happens when you order wheels from a mail order company and don't give them spacifics, not that they would be followed. Take your G to an independent brake/alignment shop and have them check it out. Dealerships and stores like Firestone/Goodyear aren't experienced enough to figure these issues out....it's totally Greek to them. Hope you come up with an answer, I know it's a PIA!
