they were most likely added to your car. the 03-04 G35 sport and the 03-04 350z track something or other are the only ones that came from factory with them.

and as for the brembos i dont think the majority of ppl drives their cars hard enough to need something better than the factory brakes and their cheaper to get pads for and rotors and they last a fair bit longer. i only get about 20k miles out of my front pads at best with brembos.
