Brembo ≠ Mod... right?

I am fairly new here. Been a long time lurker, and recently picked up an 04 Laser Red 6MT. My question is this: when looking at so many signatures, mod lists, etc, I see people listing OEM Brembos as if they are a mod. This is kind of wonky to me, as it is fairly obvious that a person had Brembos initially if they own a 03/04 MT coupe. I mean, it is just the stock setup after all...

So my question is: why do people consider Brembo in their mod lists? Is it because of a lack of other mentionable modifications? Because they believe it is a mod? Because they are just listing OEM goodies? I don't see people listing OEM seats in such lists, so why include stock brake calipers? I am not flaming anyone, just wanted to have a discussion about this.

Oh, and I am loving my G experience thus far. I consumed a good bit of data and researched the car for the past year before making my purchase. I tested about 4 or 5 coupes over 7 months before landing on the one I knew would be mine. I come from a long line of Honda's primarily. 2 Preludes, 2 del Sols, 2 S2000s a Civic and a Legend coupe.

I feel like I have grown up with the acquisition of my coupe- she is more mature and sophisticated than anything else I have owned. Sadly, she is more thirsty and less thrifty, but I knew that before I got in this car of course. Long live VQ .

I'm not sure why you cared that much to post about it.

It's called a discussion. I find it interesting, so I wanted to know if anyone else did or perhaps why they might have done it. Thanks for your input.

Some people have the need to list their whole mod list in the signature regardless of how insignificant it may seem.

Maybe because they were only offered on certain models and are somewhat rare. I don't see why it matters though...

I don't see a point to list anything other than a funny quote in your sig(just to get a laugh, of course). It reminds me of the nerds in some forums that post their computer specs as if anyone cared lol. But to answer your question, I believe it's because it was only an option on 2 years and only the MT models.

I do find it silly when people have "Tinted Windows" in their signature as part of their list.

It helps noobs identify which members to ask/PM regarding specific mods rather then creating a new thread, much like the garage feature.

I would consider it a mod, if I upgraded from stock to Brembo

Probably for the same reason some people put "aero kit" or "with Nav" in their signatures. Just to separate them a little so they have a more unique car. Also because not every car has them, so they want to stand out a bit. Just my opinion.

Modification: the making of a limited change in something; also : the result of such a change.

If your car came like that, it wasn't a mod. Sorry to get technical lol.

So, I shouldn't list my G37 brakes as a mod to my ancient 03 sedan?
