Unhappy Electrical Problems - '03 G35

Hey everyone. So I've been having a few issues with my G. First, the head unit is completely boned up. It will: turn off randomly, cut out all audio randomly, cut audio back in randomly, disable access to "SAT" button (which for me is connected to an RCA input). In addition, lately the entire control cluster has randomly become non responsive. E.g. I can pound any/all buttons in the center console (air, radio, nav) and nothing happens. Turning the car on and off doesn't fix this. It magically repairs itself after some time.

Any ideas on this?

Thanks!

Sounds like you need a new dash kit. Those thing have a history of going bad. Making the AC go on by itself and no way to turn in off like the car is haunted.

It'll run about 200 for it.

Oem nav will work with a double din. I'm enjoying dual screen awesomeness right now.

You will loose the voice guidance, but that can be considered a beneficial mod.

You could use any unit you want. The factory nav would not interact at all with whatever aftermarket unit you choose.

The OEM nav is completely separate from whatever aftermarket double-din deck you would install. He is enjoying dual screen awesomeness, because he can have the OEM nav up and running and have a movie/music/etc. playing on the aftermarket head unit.

Right, except for the audio from the nav. Thanks!
