I know this topic has been beaten to death but I am having a different issue.. I think.

Had my Berk HFC's installed last week and after an hour my CEL came on. Went back to the shop to see what's up. We threw it on the lift and everything looks right. They checked the codes and they are telling me that my O2 sensor is not pre-heating like it should. I know for some other issues the non-foulers have been used. Is this an option for me?

I drove down to Wekfest and thought it might go away during the 6 hr ride there or back home .. but nope still got the f^ker.

Here are some pics from the show and photo shoot on a rooftop in a parking garage while the air show went on in the background. I took some pics on my phone so the quality is garbage.

If it was damaged, wouldn't it give a different code?

When I installed my BERK'S I had to replace the sensor too they just hate a change of environment. With BERK'S design you don't need and can't use non-fowlers, I wasted a few bucks on that too. Best is to replace the sensor!

Well I changed my 02 sensor today. CEL was bank 1 sensor 2 .. which is the right side sensor on the cat itself. Instead of buying the $200 factory part I bought the generic Auto Zone universal sensor. I just had to splice the wiring to the factory harness. Pretty easy. Drove home and the code never came back on. We will see what happens tomorrow.

Same here....^....but I had to replace my right side sensor too and get a Osiris tune to get rid of the "Check Engine Soon" warning....but worth it!

Yeah it was damaged. I took the old one out and I could hear the broken part inside when I shook it I think the code was 0037. After I changed it I did the reset and I have not seen it in the last days. Hopefully it worked. Still tryin to get Midas to pay for it but they are giving me all kinds of excuses. The part new is 200 from the dealer .. they need to just step up and get me the factory replacement. I have the generic Auto Zone in which works but it the principle.

We will see what happens. I will keep this thread updated though.

Anyone else have the an installer jack up their O2 sensor?

If you didnt get the code right away it might come after you drive the car for a while .. about 50 miles or less.. if no code by then you are golden.

Once some build up gets in there it will reduce.. I put the HFC and Ark exhaust and the first day it sounded riced out and I was like WTF. However, after my long drive to and from Chicago from Mnpls it has gone down dramatically. However at certaing rpm's its still there but not a real issue at all. Loving how the car drives though with the change.

I wonder if I wrap it on exhaust heat wrap if it will go away completely
