Opinions on G35 Coupe 6MT.

I have yet to go test drive the car as it is pretty far away from me. It's one of those buy it when you go look at it kind of things.

KBB says it should be selling for around 14.5k

The owner does not have as accurate of an history on the car as I would like, however, there is nothing a simple carfax cant fix.

Here is the listing

Definitely check out the carfax like you said, maybe even an independent inspection. The car looks to be in great condition but theres a lot thats hard to know just by looking at it and driving.

I like your thinking! I will try and find a reputable place to have it checked out when I go down there on Monday. Is there anything that I should pay extra close attention to on these cars?

For instance, is the oil pan known to be dented etc etc....

That guy seems like a legit seller. Make sure you test drive and see if the clutch is good, ac is good, and check the oil. Make sure all the doors have legit stickers on them, no weird marks. Make sure the front bumper back bumper and sideskirt is a perfect fitment. Check that all tabs are there. and Check the exhaust under the car. Make sure no leaks. Should be good to go.

Run an AutoCheck on it and forget the CarFax. CF is getting a worse and worse reputation every day for being grossly inaccurate and not disclosing a lot of things that seem to show up on the AC reports.

My car came with a clean carfax, found out that there has been an accident in which the driver side door was replaced and the same with the sideskirt. My sister bought a g35 clean carfax, came home and saw that it probably got rear ended, returned the car the next day.

Double check the car and get a carfax! You're stuck with this car for at least 1 year unless you're ballin!

It may or may not matter but that car has 06 headlights. A common upgrade for car that year but interesting that he didn't listed that since it is not a cheap upgrade.

also with that many miles, i believe you should talk the price down a bit. i got my 04 g35c with 40k miles for only 15k (last year). and it came with intake/exhuast/and springs, so i didn't have to mod the car much .

Hey guys, I went and looked at the car, test drove it etc.

It was in dire need of some serious repair. When going down the road at about 30mph, the road noise was so loud you couldnt hear yourself think. Why is that? The wheel bearing were just GONE! It was ridiculous.

Secondly, the little dents you see in the photos were much larger than they appear, and as well, there was a dent right in front of the drivers door.

Lastly, and eventually the ending factor in me NOT buying the car, was that the front left fender had what appeared to be like a waxay, egg, type "burn" in the paint. Almost as if someone paintballed the car and it sat in the sun. NOTHING that would buff out. You cant see in the photos but it was definitively there.

I know that was a rare G, but I wasnt willing to roll the dice on this one.

The guy wouldnt budge off $13,500
