what do i need to do to tune my car?

Alright, i know what some will say, SEARCH! well i did, and i guess i'm a retard because i couldn't find the answer i was looking for! i have an 05 coupe, 5AT, jwt pop charger, z-tube, pulleys, magnaflow muffler, no resonator, titek test pipes, and a kinetix racing v+ plenum. when my car is on, it reeks of gasoline. people have told me that my car is running too rich and needs a tune. i wanna go to ums tuning, but i don't know what i'm getting myself into. what do i need to buy? what am i looking at spending? sorry if this has already been posted...i just need some help!

A tune won't get rid of the gas/exhaust smell completely, a lot of that is coming from your test pipes since you have taken the catalytic converters out of the picture. I'm also going to assume you're running lean with your breather mods, not rich and that can be dangerous for your car. A tune will definitely fix that and the most popular tune here is the Osiris offered by a company called UpRev. Not sure where in Arizona you are but you might find a shop that can do it for you here. https://g35driver.com/forums/tuner-d...directory.html

It's not cheap, probably cost you somewhere between $550 and $650 but it's well worth it in the long run. You don't need to buy anything, just show up with your car and your mod list and they'll do the rest.

Keep the test pipes the HFC's wont pass smog anyway so there is no point in spending hella money on that when u can just roll with ur test pipes thats how id go, and i personally like the smell it keeps you more in touch with ur vehcile

HFCs will be a little quieter than regular test pipes. Do you have regular or resonated test pipes?

Actually HFCs should pass smog.
Is this from personal experience?
There have been many guys on here that have passed smog with HFCs.

That's a little high, but if they are the only shop w/in a reasonable distance that can do it it's not highway robbery.
