Low beam light messed up

My low beam for my right headlight went out, so i bought new lights, but they didn't work too. Tried it on the left side and it worked, so it wasn't the lights that weren't working.

My fog lights work, my turn signal light works, my clearance strip works, just the low beam doesn't. So its the wiring/fuse for it.

anyone else have this problem? any solutions?

any help would be appreciated

It's not a fuse. Both headlights are on the same fuse. It has to be a wiring problem. Depending on your electrical knowledge, I would say to take it to the shop for them to determine the root problem.

Yea I'm pretty sure its the ballast. Opened the lights up. like a gallon of water came out (including water dripping from the ballast) from heavy rain. so i guess i need a new ballast?

You could swap the ballast from the other side just to be sure.

Don't go to the dealership, they want $560 for a new one.

But, I have an extra I'll be happy to sell you. I can tell you it works, but don't know the history of it. My ballast on the passenger side went out a couple of months ago and I bought a pair from a member on here. $100 shipped to your door and it's yours. It's too late here for it to go out today, but I can send it Priority Mail on Monday if you'd like. It also has the cable that plugs into the back of the bulb, I think that's called the igniter. I was going to keep it as an extra but since you need it now I'm willing to part with it.

I just let the ballasts dry for a couple hours and now both work perfectly... I guess water caused a bad connection.

Thanks anyways bluedream

No worries, just means I get to keep my spare.

Glad you got it worked out, can you believe Infiniti wants over $500 for that little piece?

I'd believe any price you give me once the word "dealership" is mentioned.

I replaced or so called replaced my driver side headlight after I noticed it was dimmer then the passenger side. ( I had the passenger side replaced after it went out over a year ago) The driver side bulb that was in there was working went I took it out a replace it with a new one. The light never came back on. Any suggestion

Most likely water is getting inside the ballast...
