Unhappy Battery problem

Hey guys, yesterday my battery died so i called AAA and they came out and jumped the car. This morning when I woke up I went into the garage tried to start the car and no power. There is power to the dashboard and all the electronics (Fading away slowly as i can tell when i push the lock button on the key) So I was wondering, should I get a new battery or just jump it again and hope this time it'll work.

Thanks guys
- Jad

^+1 Yep, sounds like it's time for a new one.
I usually go to Sears and have them test the battery 1st.

Just get a new battery! That should fix that problem.

Lol i think the reason for why mine is completely dead is cause when i moved here i bought the car but didn't have my license on me or even have the car registered so i couldn't drive it. so i would sit in the garage with the key in playing the music and F**king with the electronics and stuff. Had AAA come out and jump it once, ran for 2 weeks, last night died, jumped it, this morning dead. Idk why its dead haven't used it from the moment it got jumped to the time i woke up and started the car to give it a little charge but oh well. Guess I'm getting a new battery :P

iirc (forgot where i got this info from) once the battery charge goes under 12volts it loses its capability to hold the sufficient charge (12v) or something like that and u will eventually need to replace it anyway.

True, Got mine changed 2 days ago. I had the old one checked by Autozone, they said it was DEAD! Turned it in and got a discount. The new one is a bit less powerful, about 750 amps If I'm not mistaken. Starts the car just fine. Gotta test it really cold.

I would recommend buying a cheap voltometer and test volts after sitting over night. then test voltage drop upon starting. sometimes all you need is a recharge after sitting. sounds like you do need a new battery but get the $10 voltmeter for future battery needs, there is tons of info online on batterys-how to test, optimizing battery life, etc.

Sears get Die Hard Gold or Autozone Duralast Gold they are the same battery.
