plasti dipped my grill
Nice. If you do your wheels take a pic. Wanna see what oem 18s look like on a DG. I had my grill plasti-dipped first time. Looked good, but didn't like its matte and non-reflective, non-chromy texture (since its plastic), so I painted it legit instead and looks really glossy and nice now.
Sorry, I meant the texture looks horrible.
I understand peoples gripe about plasti dip, it looks 'cheap'.
I've used it on my grill for the base coat and then used spray paint over it so it no longer has the plasti dip feel/look. Its the same thing as sanding down the grill and only using spray paint but its removable, IMO at least.

the sun is the only thing that distinguishes us BS and DGs
I also strongly prefer the plasti dip look and texture better than most paints.
I told myself I would never paint/plasti dip my grill but it's starting to grow on me. OP, yours looks great! I'm not a fan of the painted emblem like the other guy but to each his own.
i've plasti dipped my wheels, rims, and diffuser.. did the same process on all of them:
1. plasti dip x3 coats
2. black gloss paint x3 coats
3. clear coat x3
the rims and diffuser came out fine but for some reason my grill came out looking like @$$... tried it twice then gave up.
also note that if you put clear or gloss paint on plasti dip.. forget about removing it -- it's gonna be a pain to peel off. you'll be sitting there for hours trying to chip off small pieces of it.
black grill looks good, just paint it the right way IMO
