I have a 03 6mt with about 88k miles on it. Last night when i was picking up my friend from work my gas was at about half a tank. 5 miles later the needle shot all the way down. Then as i was driving it rose back up so i didn't think much of it. Later on in the night when i turned on the car the needle was at the bottom again but slowly climbed back up. In the morning my car wouldnt turn on at all including electricity. So i disconnected the battery and reconnected and it worked. I put in gas this morning and i was driving, i noticed when i sped up a little the needle in the fuel gauge shot down half way and when i reduced my speed, the needle would crawl back up slowly. i thought i was leaking fuel so i went to put in gas again to check, but i was only able to put in a few dollars which rules out that possibility. On top of that the needle woudn't go back up past half. Has anyone experienced this?
