2004 g35 coupe help

Just got my 1st g35 coupe a couple weeks ago.
It's a black 2004 automatic. I have no idea where to start. I have a few hundred dollars to use for some cheap upgrades for now. Any suggestions for simple engine upgrades/appearance? Thanks

As a 2004 (over 7 years old), is there anything to repair or replace?

Before dropping money on a plenum or grounding kit or whatever, do your brakes work 100%? Alignment perfectly straight? Tires full of tread?

Belts/hoses? Battery? Did you change the oil and filter? In-cabin air filter, engine air filter?

Full detail, including clay bar?

Put the money where it's needed, not where you want it, at first. Get her back up to perfect worknig order THEN start modding,

My opinion of course.

I bought the car with 24000 miles on it. New tires and just had an oil change. The car is mint. I claybared/waxed it too..

Wow, nice find an '04 with less then 25K miles. Not due to mileage but to age, you're better off spending $$ on maintenance rather than mods. Belts and fluids s/b replaced just due to age even if it was garage kept, that will insure she'll be good for years to come. Post a few pic and congratulations on your find!

"Want" has nothing to do with it

And I should have clarified my post, but Gary did for me. 7 years, regardless of miles... affects a car as much if not more than miles.

But to answer you, read that sticky above. It'll point to K&N Filter and Motordyne Plenum for starters.

You were already given the answer in the second post. Browse the media section for exterior options. With only $300, don't even bother trying to make your car faster.

My idea for you was to make sure your new 25K mile coupe was in perfect running order before you start spending $$ on mods, you know the common sense approach! Google the words "Common Sense", evidently your Dad didn't explain it to you....

You definitely won't last long here. There's enough immature teenagers on this site as it is and we don't need anymore...
